Woman charged with embezzlement

A Fuquay-Varina lady faces eight charges in tie with defrauding a Raleigh construction company.

Barbara Ann Satterfield, 31, of 400 Lennie Smith Road, faces charges of monetary label fraud, piracy and forgery.

The warrants lay Satterfield used a computer at Atlantic Building Group Inc. to show that bona fide association bills were paid, when instead $20,453 was diverted to Satterfield and others.

The alternative charges lay Satterfield used a gas label and a withdraw label in the names of the companys owners, according to the warrants.

Satterfield was being hold Saturday at the Wake County prison on $60,000 bail.
