I"m happy to have known that we"re rising a small eventuality array here in San Francisco called CNET Showcase. Our idea is to move internal tech enthusiasts together to speak about new consumer technologies with the people who are study them and creation them. And--bonus!--we wish to give folks a possibility to get their hands on new things in a some-more loose and tutorial sourroundings than a store or hulk jam-packed traffic show. Our initial eventuality is less than a week away, on Thursday, Apr 8, at 6 p.m. We"ll be bringing in five vendors of 3D record to showcase their products for the audience. We"ve got Acer, LG, Nvidia, Panasonic, and Samsung promulgation products to show off. Before the demos open, I"m going to have an onstage speak with 3D experts David Katzmaier of CNET Reviews and Andrew Eisner, executive of calm for Retrevo. Both of these guys know 3D inside and out. We"ll be streaming the pre-demo piece of the eventuality live on CNET TV in the Reporters" Roundtable channel, and replaying it starting Friday. (The replay will mount in for my common Friday part of Reporters" Roundtable, that will lapse on Apr 16.)The eventuality is free to attend but requires tickets. The initial collection of seats has already been snapped up by my Twitter supporters and people who listened me speak about this show on one of the podcasts I do. But there is a watchful list and I am now assigning tickets to people on it as we finalize the seating arrangements and recover tickets from people who contend they wouldnt be means to have the event. Put your name down here to pointer up.Check behind on the new CNET Showcase blog for the replay of the initial eventuality on Apr 9!Advance reading: CNETs 3D TV apparatus guide.Katzmaiers 3D TV FAQ.Eisners Everything You Need to Know About 3DTV.
